I play in Solano Winds because the community of musicians inspires me to play my best.  I joined just before Covid started and we managed to record music for the community and later gave outdoor concerts to keep up our own spirits along with our audiences. I really enjoy performing concerts with this diverse group of great musicians!

Solano Winds has been sharing high quality wind band repertoire for 30 years. We perform concerts at theaters in Fairfield and Vacaville, as well as in retirement communities, in public libraries and schools, and for special events. Our full band and small ensembles include musicians from high school students to retirees, from military personnel to school teachers.

We give tickets to local public school band students to inspire them to continue playing music. Some of these students even join our band when they reach high school! The Solano Winds Scholarship Fund supports graduating high school students who want to pursue a career in music. Since 2005, Solano Winds has awarded scholarships to 18 students.
