Vallejo Naval and Historic Museum Incorporated

At the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum, we are dedicated to preserving and showcasing the diverse and captivating history of the City of Vallejo and the former U.S. Naval Shipyard at Mare Island. Housed within Vallejo’s historic Old City Hall, our museum features five galleries that delve into both community and U.S. Navy history. As a unique highlight, we offer visitors the opportunity to experience the city and Mare Island through a working submarine periscope, providing an excellent panoramic view.

As an advocate for education and culture, the museum actively sponsors a range of programs to benefit the community. These initiatives include group tours, captivating concerts, and recitals held in our esteemed Heritage Chamber. Additionally, we host enlightening lectures, engaging audio-visual presentations, and other special events that promote learning and appreciation of our shared history.
