Launched in 2017 in response to the Northern California wildfires. Solano residents have experienced more frequent and increasingly destructive wildfires, impacting communities directly with loss of life, property, and livelihood. Solano residents have experienced months of unhealthy smoke exposure year-round. In 2020 and 2021, grants were made to support victims of the LNU-19 Lightning Complex fires that struck in August of 2020.
