OUR CAUSE

Literacy opens doors for everyone- helping children succeed, adults find opportunities, and families grow closer. Since 1994, Solano County Library Foundation has raised over $7 million to support Solano County Library programs that help our community learn and thrive- all made possible through donor support.

Our impact reaches across the community through programs such as:

  • Early Literacy:  Reach Out and Read partners with local clinics so doctors can give young children their first books and encourage families to read together.
  • Youth Engagement:  Leading to Reading offers one-on-one tutoring that helps struggling readers build skills and confidence.
  • Family Engagement:  The Summer Reading Challenge keeps kids engaged in learning and inspires families to share the joy of books.
  • Academic Support:  utor.com provides free online tutoring, homework help, and test prep for K–12 students, including live Spanish-speaking support.
  • Adult & Family Literacy:  Parents and adults strengthen their reading skills, expand opportunities, and learn alongside their children.

Your support for literacy strengthens not only individuals, but also families, neighborhoods, and our entire community
