Maekaelagail:
"My parents came to this country from another place, and I learned to take care of my family and myself. I’m very thankful for the scholarship I got at Solano. It reminded me how far I’ve come and gave me a little extra help for my future. I believe education is the path to a better life. When you help others, that’s what really matters. What will you do to make a difference?"

Magan:
"My childhood was hard. My dad passed away when I was young, and my mom raised me and my brother while we lived in a car. I’ve always had to work really hard, but that has made me stronger. This year, I’m taking 14 college credits, which is a lot, but I’m staying focused. These classes are helping me get closer to earning my Associate’s Degree and my dream of becoming a Master Technician."

Julio:
"My biggest goal is to finish my Automotive Technology degree. A scholarship helps me buy tools and take the tests I need to graduate. I want to become a Master Technician and one day teach high school students. This program changed my life. Before I joined the automotive program, I felt lost and sad. My teachers helped save me. Without them, I don’t know where I would be."
