Solano CART is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works in cooperation with local governmental and non-governmental agencies to ensure the best possible outcome for animals in Solano and neighboring counties who need assistance during an emergency. Our all volunteer team is dedicated to the evacuation, sheltering, and support of animals during emergencies in Solano County, along with our commitment to educating the public about disaster preparedness. Whether it’s a wildfire, flood, or other crisis, our volunteers remain ready to respond, ensuring that beloved pets and livestock are evacuated or sheltered-in-place.
Right now, we are seeking your support to maintain our readiness for emergency response. Your donation will help us allow us to operate an emergency hotline, stock essential supplies, maintain our equipment, train volunteers, provide insurance for our volunteers, keep our website active, and ensure we are ready to respond when the next call comes.

Evacuations - When disaster strikes, our team of trained, sworn disaster services volunteers can be activated to evacuate animals or shelter them in-place. Solano CART does not provide shelter services, however, we do maintain a list of community volunteers who may be willing to provide temporary livestock housing during an emergency.
Disaster Preparedness - Proactively creating a Disaster Action Plan (DAP) is a vital step you can take to ensure the best possible outcome for your animals. Contact us to learn more about how our volunteers can help develop a DAP specific to your needs.
Community Outreach - In addition to our DAP activities, educating the community about how to prepare their animals for the best possible outcome during a disaster is essential to our mission. We regularly participate in public or community awareness events, as well as accept invitations to speak at corporate and private gatherings to provide education.
