Domestic violence and sexual assault are not rare. They are not distant issues. They are right here in our families, our schools, our neighborhoods. The statistics are staggering, but they are more than numbers. They are your cousin who always seemed withdrawn. Your friend who changed overnight. Your coworker who flinches at loud voices. Maybe they are you.

At SafeQuest Solano, we meet survivors at some of the most difficult moments of their lives and walk alongside them through what comes next. We are a local nonprofit based in Solano County, serving individuals of all genders, backgrounds, and ages who are experiencing or have survived domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking. We provide 24-hour crisis response, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, peer counseling, prevention education, and transitional support services that save lives and restore futures.

But the real story is in the silences we help break. The children who finally sleep through the night. The teens who stop blaming themselves. The survivor who speaks her truth in court. The man who stops pretending he is fine. The elder who realizes it was never too late to get free.

Our services are trauma-informed, survivor-led, and fiercely rooted in the belief that healing is possible. Every person who walks through our doors or calls our line is met with dignity and compassion, no matter what. We do not ask why they stayed. We ask what they need.

Funding is critical. When someone is ready to leave, we must be ready too. That means keeping shelter beds open, keeping our 24/7 crisis line staffed, and keeping our advocates in courtrooms, classrooms, and community spaces where survivors need us most.
