WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Donations to The Friends of the Dixon Public Library help us to support the Dixon Library and the local Dixon community.  Besides helping the Library fund its programs, "The Friends" also uses funds to enrich the local community.  For example, "The Friends" recently awarded two $1,000 scholarships to college-bound Dixon High School Seniors.  We have two "book give aways" each year: one at Halloween and one at Christmas time during the annual tree lighting.  At both of these events, kids receive a free book from "The Friends."

The Library provides a safe and welcoming place for people of all ages through its programs such as:

  • the Summer Reading Program
  • Back to School Festival
  • Book Club
  • Activities for kids: read to a dog, grandparent card creation, story time crafts, bilingual Spanish story time, yoga for kids, Halloween Haunted House, Christmas Tree Lighting Crafts
  • Activities for teens: chalk art on the sidewalk, Anime cafe, upcycled crafts, teen awkward art, Indian cuisine demonstration, mini golf night, holiday cookie decorating for Halloween and Christmas, kids homework help
  • Activities for adults: local history talks, yoga, tai chi, square dancing, Frida Kahlo paint night, drop-in senior tech help, book club, UC Master gardeners help and tips for gardeners

Without the donations the Friends of the Dixon Public Library receives, the Library would not be able to provide these wonderful programs.

Please give what you can to help us continue this support!
