Friends of the Solano Commission for Women and Girls supports the programs of the Commission through fundraising.  The mission of the Solano Commission for Women and Girls is to improve the economic status, health and social welfare, and overall quality of life for women and girls by providing community education and advice to the Solano County Board of Supervisors.  Programs that address those needs include:

Birth Justice: Maternal Health  –  Educating women on the resources available for healthy birth outcomes, particularly addressing higher infant mortality rates for Black and Latina women in the county.

You.Matter.Period. – Providing menstrual hygiene supplies to middle school, high schools, and homeless women.

Women & Money Conference – Partnering with financial professionals to offer workshops on money management, growth, and investment for women of all income levels.

Girls on the Rise – Working with the Solano County Bar Association to educate girls about the various pathways into the legal profession.

Increased Community Engagement – Sharing community resources and news about upcoming programs through our website, social media platforms, radio stations, and news media.
