Founded in 1994, the Fairfield Community Services Foundation is a dedicated team of innovative leaders and volunteers committed to fostering a stronger community in Fairfield. Through our unique model of public-private partnerships, we aim to create impactful solutions that benefit low income youth and seniors.. Together, we are focused on building a brighter future for our city. Join us in our mission to make a difference!
OUR MISSION
The Fairfield Community Services Foundation improves the lives of Fairfield's underserved youth, families, and seniors by providing the support and services that give hope.
PROGRAMS BENEFITTING OUR COMMUNITY
*Sneakers for Success
Fairfield Community Services Foundation is excited to partner with Shoes That Fit and Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) to deliver amazing shoes to Fairfield's youth in need, just in time for the school year. Budgets are tight, and families often need help to afford new shoes for their children's growing feet. Sneakers for Success tackles one of the most visible signs of childhood poverty in America by giving children in need new athletic shoes so they can confidently attend school with dignity and joy and be prepared to learn, play, and thrive!
*Addressing Food Insecurities
Since the start of the pandemic, The Foundation has supported the Manna Food Pantry at St. Marks in serving 1,000 individuals each week. In addition, Senior Meals are provided at the Fairfield Adult Recreation Center. And Thanksgiving meals are provided to low income families in the Grange Middle School neighborhood.
*Toy Drive & Giveaway
All kids deserve a holiday toy and warm coat every winter. Just before the Holidays, the Fairfield Community Services Foundation holds an annual Toy Drive and Giveaway to make a difference in the community and bring a smile to each child's face.
*Assist-A-Grad Scholarships
The Fairfield Community Services Foundation is an annual sponsor of Assist-A-Grad scholarships for Solano County high school students. Graduating seniors submit application, and the winners receive funds to help defray the cost of higher education.
*INSPIRATION Sports Program
The Foundation in partnership with the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District and Terra Realty integrate sports with community outreach. It gives inner city youths healthy ways to blow off steam, build a sense of community and develop relationships with community mentors. Included are trips to professional sporting events chaperoned by police and fire personnel.
FUND RAISING EVENTS:
*Chocolate & Vine
Enjoy local wines paired with fine chocolates. Small bites and hors d’oeuvres are prepared by Fairfield High School’s Culinary Arts Program and amazing flower arrangements are prepared by Rodriquez High School’s FFA Students.
*Winemaker Dinner
Five courses pairing local wines with specially prepared food servings create a memorable evening. Each course is introduced by the Chef whose team prepares the food and the winery owners who serve the accompanying wines. Proceeds support Sneakers for Success.
*Vine to Table
Partnering with the Suisun Valley Vintners and Growers, the City of Fairfield and local restaurants, the Foundation produces an unforgettable evening. Dinner is served on the streets of Downtown Fairfield under the famous arch. Proceeds support programs benefitting youth families and seniors in Fairfield.
