Who We Are:

The Coach Sarna League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2021 with a mission to provide high-quality, low-cost sports and STEAM education to local families, as well as create life exposure, family bonding, and  a spirit of volunteerism for our communities.

Since our inception, we have partnered with NFL Flag and launched NFL Flag football, starting with 120 kids and growing to serve over 3,000 local players annually. We have awarded $300,000 in registration scholarships, ensuring all kids have access to a life-changing opportunity.

Our NFL Flag league has received national recognition from the NFL, nominated for awards such as Best New League of the Year in 2022, Top Overall League in 2023, and Most Community-Based League in 2023. In addition, our Founder and CEO Ryan Sarna was invited to speak at the Atlanta Falcons stadium in 2023, highlighting our impact and leadership in our community.

Our partnerships extend to 49ers Flag Football, where we host the largest all-girls divisions in Northern California. Our flag football teams have achieved remarkable success, including the first Northern California team to reach the NFL Flag National Championship in Canton, Ohio. We now feature locally-based all-girls and all-boys tournament teams that travel nationwide, showcasing the talent and spirit of our players. We also host free girls' flag football clinics throughout the year to empower young women in sports.

Beyond football, we offer an MLS-GO soccer league at a fraction of the cost of other local leagues, providing scholarships and the best uniforms around. Our MLS GO League is affiliated with the San Jose Quakes, who help us bring hundreds of families to experience live professional soccer matches free of charge.

In 2023, we launched our LEGO STEM Engineering League, which combines education and competition inspired by the hit Fox TV show LEGO Master Builders. This program provides high-quality, affordable STEM opportunities for hundreds of Solano County kids, with nearly 80% of participants requiring scholarships to join.

At the core of The Coach Sarna League is life exposure, community bonding, and volunteerism. Starting in 2023, we take our players, families, and community members on service trips, including volunteering at the Door of Faith Orphanage in Baja Mexico every spring break, where we host flag football clinics, do construction, cook, and build lifelong friendships at our nightly bonfire.

Our annual summer trip to The Great Wolf Lodge brings 150+ families together for fun and bonding, and we organize various life-exposure events like BBQs, hikes, city visits, paintball, rock climbing, and attending professional sports games.

Mission

To provide high quality and low cost sports, STEAM education, life exposure events, and family bonding to our community.

NEEDS

* Generator Lights funding. $4000 will help us buy one of two generator lights that we need to hold weekly practice throughout the winter months and keep our kids engaged and busy year round.

* Flag Football Program funding. $155 will put one child through our nationally recognized 49ers Flag Football League for one season.

* MLS-Go Youth Soccer League.  $130 will put one child through our MLS GO soccer program for one season. 

* Father-Daughter Dance funding. $90 will give a father and daughter a memory of a lifetime at our annual Father-Daughter dance featuring a 17-piece orchestra and live singer. (Total Cost of Campaign: $11,200)

* Flag Football Travel Tournament funding. $120 will put one child through our travel tournament program for one month. (Total Cost of Campaign for one year: $28,400)

* LEGO Engineering League funding. $100 will put one child through our STEAM Education program for one season.  (Total Cost of Campaign: $9,600)

* Orphanage Trip.  $400 per person is the cost for our mission trip to The Door of Faith Orphanage where we teach our students the value of giving back and give them an experience of a lifetime! (Total Cost of campaign: $12,800)

* Females in Flag Football Clinic.  One time a year, we invite 250 girls from 4 to 18 years of age to take part in an all inclusive flag football skill clinic for free.  The cost of this effort is well worth the hundreds of girls who have been introduced to the growing sport of flag football at this camp! (Total Cost of Campaign: $8,750)
