Solano County Resource Family Association

The Solano County Resource Family Association (Chapter #45 of the California State Foster Parent Association) supports & services foster parents, relative caregivers, adoptive parents and guardianship families throughout Solano County and beyond.  As a trusted partner with Solano County Child Welfare, we facilitate the county respite program, provide enrichment activities and assist with the training and development of caregivers for our community's most vulnerable children.  Our Mission is to create opportunities and increase available resources children in foster care need to become successful, healthy, independent adults.  Our Vision is for all Solano County Children impacted by foster care live in a supportive, connected community.  With our community's support we can ensure that foster children and caregivers feel supported, valued and loved.

Here are just a few of our 2024-2025 accomplishments:

Hosted our Annual Foster Care Picnic for over 150 children

Christmas Village-community Santa's shop and fulfill youth wishes

Annual Training Conference-over 200 participants attend to receive current trauma informed training

Annual Appreciation Event-over 100 caregivers and child welfare staff celebrated another year of accomplishments and the power of gratitude

Enrichment activities-Our children participated in events such as an annual Gingerbread House Party, Disney on Ice, Monster Jam, San Francisco Symphony, College Tour and a Family Date Night.   

Supported over 400 hours of respite care

In January 2025 we opened our first Community Resource Center for all Resource Families to shop and receive tangible resources (clothes, diapers, formula, toys, etc) throughout the year at no charge.

Our accomplishments are truly a community effort as we cannot do this alone.  We LOVE our community and invite you to join our village.
