Who We Are

The Vallejo First 5 Center is a vibrant, welcoming space where families with young children (birth to age five) come to learn, play, and grow together. Everything we offer is free—from parenting classes and school readiness activities to support groups and essential resources.

We believe all children deserve to grow up in safe, loving, and connected families. We believe parents and caregivers are their child’s first and most important teachers. And we believe families are stronger when they are valued, equipped, and uplifted.

The Vallejo First 5 Center is operated by Bay Area Community Resources (BACR), which has been serving families since 1976. In partnership with First 5 Solano, we are proud to be part of a movement that strengthens families and builds thriving communities across the Bay Area.

What We Do

Our programs are designed to nurture healthy development, school readiness, and strong parent-child relationships. Families find:

• Joyful learning experiences for children—through playgroups, art, music, STEM, and kindergarten readiness activities.

• Parenting support—like Triple P classes, parent-child bonding activities, and culturally responsive workshops.

• Wellness & resources—developmental screenings, nutrition and wellness classes, referrals to housing, healthcare, and more.

• Community & belonging—playgroups, family events, and Parent Cafés where lasting friendships are formed.

• Parent leadership opportunities—ensuring families have a voice in shaping programs and decisions.

At the heart of our work is the Five Protective Factors Framework, which helps families build resilience, deepen connections, and raise thriving, confident children.
